Project Child Find

Somewhere in our neighborhood, there may be a child with special needs who is not in school. That child needs help. The Amelia County Public Schools are trying to identify these children. The special child may have trouble sitting, standing, walking, talking, seeing or hearing. They may have seizures, be too busy or too quiet. They often appear not to learn or may be slow to learn or understand. The special child may be pre-school or in school.

Amelia County Public Schools offer free screening to identify children in need of services. For more information, call any public school in Amelia or the Amelia County School Board Office at 804-561-2621.

Should concerns arise about an infant or toddler, contact The Infant and Toddler Connection in Farmville, Virginia at 434-392-7310, which serves Amelia County.

Make the call that makes the difference today.
