New Student Registration
Welcome to Amelia County Public Schools. We are very excited to have
you join our school family. An overview of the student registration
process is provided in the links below to help prepare you for your
visit when you come to register a new student with our school division.
Please look over the process and requirement list for the appropriate
school before you meet with the school's guidance personnel to
officially register. You may also want to print off and complete the
available forms prior to your visit. These forms are available at the
schools and offered here for your convenience. If you have any questions
please contact your student's school for further information.
The Process is simple, bring the following required documents and meet with your schools guidance personnel.
Enrollment Process and Requirements
School Entrance Age
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30 of the school year to be eligible to attend kindergarten.
The following documentation is required to register:
* State law requires your child to have a current physical & up-to-date
immunizations this is a requirement for children entering Kindergarten.
* Original Birth Certificate
* Proof of residency (rental/lease agreement, mortgage statement, or electric bill)
* Custody papers (if applicable)
Transferring Students
It is helpful if transferring students provide a report card from their previous school and, if applicable, a copy of an Individualized Education Program. After registration is completed, we will request a transfer of records from previous school.
