Icy conditions remain on secondary roads, school sidewalks and parking lots making a return to school tomorrow challenging. Therefore, schools and offices will remain closed on Wednesday, January 28th. It will be a Remote Learning Day.
Our maintenance team is working diligently to clear sidewalks and parking lots so we can safely return at the right time. Packed ice and freezing temperatures make this task a bit more difficult, however, they are continuing to make progress. We will to keep you updated each day on decisions regarding school closure.

Due to anticipated snow and ice accumulations and previous school closures in December, in accordance with school board policy (EBCD, IC/ID), ACPS has developed a comprehensive remote learning plan. Several roads in the county are still snow and ice covered making for hazardous traveling conditions. Therefore, Amelia County Public Schools will remain closed for students and 10/11 month staff tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
