The School Board approved Policy JICJ: Cell Phones and Electronic Devices during the December 9, 2024 School Board meeting. This policy is in compliance with Governor Youngkin's Executive Order "Establishing Cell Phone-Free Education in Virginia's K-12 Public Schools." Cell phones, smart watches, and personal electronic devices may not be used or worn by students in school buildings or on school grounds during the instructional day from the first bell to the closing bell. If a student brings a cell phone or personal electronic device to school, the item(s) must be turned off and stored fully out of sight during the instructional day.
