9 AM - 9:45 AM for ages 4-5 & ages 6-7
9:45 AM - 10:30 AM for ages 8- 10 & ages 11-12
10:30 AM- 11:15 AM for ages 13-15 & ages 16-17

The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will meet on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 3:30 p.m.. The meeting will be held at the school board office at 8701 Otterburn Road, Suite 101.

Beginning Saturday morning, November 2nd, Amelia Parks & Recreation will hold registrations & uniform sizing from 9 - 9:45 A.M. for ages 4-7, 9:45 - 10:30 A.M. for ages 8-12, and 10:30 - 11:15 A.M. for ages 13-17 . Registrations and uniform sizing will also be held at the same times on November 9th. The final Team placement for all players will be held on November 16th beginning at the same times listed above. Good evening Amelia families. This is Amelia County Public Schools with an important message regarding Monday, April 8, 2024. Upon the return of students from spring break, we are anticipating clear skies and nice weather for experiencing the anticipated solar eclipse between 2:00 P.M. and 4:30 P.M. on Monday afternoon. Teachers will present structured lessons on solar eclipse safety and will distribute solar glasses for students. We ask that parents take some time to discuss solar eclipse safety precautions with your students before they come to school on Monday. These precautions include avoiding looking directly at the sun, not using camera phones without a special filter to capture the solar eclipse, and wearing proper eye protection. We anticipate the peak of the solar eclipse to occur around bus dismissal time. Parents are reminded that you may choose to pick up your student early if you want to experience the solar eclipse as a family. We also encourage parents whose students will be riding a bus to be at the bus stop when students arrive in the afternoon. We hope all of our Team Amelia families are enjoying spring break and we look forward to the return of students on Monday. Have a nice evening!

Good Morning Team Amelia! This message is a calendar update for Friday, March 29, 2024. Last night the Amelia County School Board approved making Friday, March 29th a day off for students and staff. This change provides an extra day of Spring Break and allows schools to be closed on Good Friday. The School Board recognizes the lack of inclement weather days this year as well as the hard work of our staff and students. Good Morning ACHS Parents and Guardians! ACHS had an unscheduled fire drill this morning due to a faulty water flow switch. The Amelia Sheriff's Dept. responded to the call and walked the building. Our maintenance department and an outside vendor are on site to assess and make repairs. Thank you for your support!
